Falmouth Public Schools is currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional to fill the role of Student Information Systems Administrator. In this position, you will oversee and manage the Falmouth Public Schools Student Information System (SIS), reporting, and ensuring its smooth operation and providing direct support to end-users and district personnel.
As the Student Information Systems Administrator, you will assume primary responsibility for the school database systems, ensuring their integrity and efficiency. In addition, you will be responsible for generating accurate and timely state reports, as well as managing and facilitating information management and sharing throughout the district.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with student information systems; PowerSchool experience is required.
- Data systems administration experience.
- HTML experience for customizing screens in Powerschool.
- Strong understanding and commitment to security, privacy, and confidentiality.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace software.
- Ability to formulate reports and data visualization based on user requirements.
- Ability to manage projects independently.
- Ability to work closely and collaboratively with colleagues.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support districtwide administrators and faculty with scheduling, grading, standards-based and traditional report card processes, GPA/Transcripts, and any other data reporting needs.
- Responsible for all aspects of SIS beginning-of-year/end-of-year processes.
- Support the creation and use of SIS Parent Portal accounts and online enrollment forms.
- Prepare and submit reports required by the Department of Education, the federal government, and the district, including, but not limited to, SIMS, EPIMS, SCS, SSDR, CRDC, and Medicaid reimbursement student file.
- Assure privacy, security, and confidentiality of student and employee information through the development and implementation of processes and controls.
- Assure the quality and integrity of information stored in data and learning systems through automation, validation, verification, documentation, training, and auditing.
- Ability to export/manipulate/import data between various software products for accurate reporting of data.
- Provide training and support to faculty and staff in the use of all data and learning systems.
- Fulfill the responsibilities of the DESE Security Portal Directory Manager for the district.
- Assist in the management of data and learning systems including the district student information system, emergency communication systems, learning management systems, and other student learning systems.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Technology.
