Substitute Nurse

Qualifications:

Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts.

Current certification in CPR and First Aid.

Experience in child health, community health, or other relevant clinical nursing.

Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may find appropriate and acceptable.

 

Responsibilities:

Provide nursing services to student populations on a day to day, as needed basis.

Assessment, triage and treatment of acute illness.

Administer medications.

Communicate with parents, faculty/staff and healthcare providers as needed.

Provide emergency care in cases of injury or sudden illness.

Perform such other tasks as may be assigned by the building Principal and/or the Director of Student Services

Salary:  $175.00 per Diem.
