Building Substitute

2023-2024 School Year

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Substitute Teachers:

Individuals serving as substitute teachers shall be licensed teachers except as hereinafter provided.  If licensed teachers are not available, non-licensed staff may be employed under the conditions set below. 

In addition to these requirements, a current CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) must be completed every year, as well as a Fingerprint Background Check.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Assume full responsibilities associated with teaching for the day as informed by the Principal or his/her designee. Follow substitute plans left by the teacher or approved by the Principal or his/her designee. 

 

Hours: Substitutes at minimum must arrive 10 minutes before the school day begins for students and remain 10 min after school day concludes.

East Falmouth School  9:05am - 3:30pm

 

 

SALARY:  $23.08 per hour  

 

Payment for substitute teachers will be according to the following categories:

 

For the 2022-2023 School Year only: 

 

Rate paid when a licensed substitute is hired to replace the same person for more than twenty days. This rate will take effect on the first day for building based substitutes. There are no benefits involved in long-term positions and substitutes will only be paid for days worked.
