Secretary to Assistant Principals
Falmouth High School
SSI 37.5 hours/week 11 months/year - 214 days/year
(includes 15 days before school begins and 15 days after school ends)
Qualifications:
- High School diploma with postgraduate secretarial study preferred.
- Proficiency with computer applications and automated calendar management tools.
- Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills required.
- Possess a positive attitude and be able to communicate professionally with others.
- Effectively deal with students, families, faculty/staff and the public in an efficient and pleasant manner.
- Ability to use tact and discretion in carrying out duties of a highly confidential nature.
- Must be organized, detail-oriented and able to handle multiple activities effectively.
- Technical skills include proficiency with Google Applications, PowerSchool and a variety of business applications and ability to learn user-friendly software packages as need arises.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may deem appropriate and acceptable.
Responsibilities:
- Provide clerical support to the Assistant Principals and colleagues Secretaries.
- Manage office routines pertaining to mail, telephone, attendance, homework requests, data entry, correspondence, and filing systems.
- Assist with correspondence, reports and notices.
- Effectively manage/coordinate simultaneous projects and successfully prioritize multiple tasks with good judgment in a highly organized, detail-oriented and thorough manner.
- Meet deadlines and work under time constraints.
- Work with minimal supervision.
- Learn, interpret and apply school department policies, guidelines, rules and regulations.
- Perform such other tasks as may from time to time be assigned by the Principal/Assistant Principals.
SALARY: In accordance with the Secretarial contract.
